For most of my life, I sang only in my car. Fellow motorists were my audience.

I poured my soul for them on the 417. The performances were met with mixed reaction from critics.

In college, I decided that I wanted to rock. So I joined a band called
Barrelhouse, and for 10 years we graced the capital (and sometimes Carleton Place!) with spot-on renditions of tracks from the Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, Little Feat, Yes, Floyd, and more. It was wicked fun. Wicked, wicked fun.

That band allowed me to finely tune my range, and provided influences both musically and performance-ally. Which is a word I just made up.

Currently, I’m playing with some awesome people. Brad Cutler on guitar, and The Amazing Ghost Lights (Zoe Elizabeth and Robin Hodge) on vocals and general tomfoolery.

When I'm not rockin', I'm sometimes acting. I played the role of Freddy Hill in the musical rendition of My Fair Zombie, staged May 2016 at the Gladstone Theatre in Ottawa. It was a musical with guts. Literally at some points.

This year, I’ve left the acting to the professionals, and have taken to composing for Phantom of the Opry, coming February 2017 to the Gladstone. 10 original songs penned by yours truly will punctuate the performances of this all-local cast of misfits! What a delight! You should come on out.  Click the link for more info.

I live in Ottawa. I dig it here. So do my wife and cat. Actually, I'm unsure about the cat. It's mostly indifferent to everything. My wife is a talented artist though. For the serious.  You should check out her website

One time, I got the chance to win a million bucks for scoring a goal at a 67's game. I became a one-day local celebrity after admitting online that I'd never shot a hockey puck before. SPOILER ALERT:  I choked.
